Winter Snow

Oh, you winter snow! Oh, you white fluff!
When i come in from the cold my skin is cold!
Then I drink a warm hot chocolate and all is well.
Oh, how lovely and quiet it is when you fall in big fat flakes.
Oh, how you cover the world with your majesty!
Snow. Snow. Snow.
Forming ice at times on trees.
Always breathtakingly beautiful
Like a ladies fine lace shawl.
Snow, i have not known you all these years I have been away
And I will tell you that it's true
that despite your frigidity
You have my heart
And I miss you

Vanilla Yogurt

I was always wowed by the fruit on the bottom.
Vanilla was not for me.
It was not flashy enough!
Vanilla was so boring!
Why not just go plain?
Or Lemon flavored?
But one morning there was a delicious accident in my bowl!
"What is this?" I yelled
"Why it's Vanilla!" She said
Smooth, light, sweet and crisp!
Vanilla Yogurt!
I love you!

The Pantry

Oh, you tiny room. You thing filled with food. You little nook.
Oh, you just off the kitchen. With a small window.
Oh, you with possibilities for meals shared with love.
Oh, you east coast pantry, I love you!

Pants

Oh, Pants. So comfortable. So easy.
I'm so glad that us ladies can wear them now.
Can't really imagine not being able to slip a pair on.
And pad around the house.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Lovely when warm, fresh out of the oven
Homemade or store bought, they are always good
A glass of cold milk completes them
For added pleasyre, add a hint of mint
or orange extract
or peanut butter chips, too
